NRT staff joined rangers of Nannapa Conservancy, Loisaba Conservancy, and the Kenya Wildlife Service to rescue the 15-year-old bull on the morning of Saturday, 16th May.

Herders had spotted him while watering their livestock, and alerted Jackson Lekumoisa, Nanaapa Conservancy Manager, who in turn got a joint rescue mission going. With ropes, manpower and a lot of determination, the exhausted bull was freed from the mud trap unharmed.
