How you can help

NRT has been pioneering a successful community-led conservation model over the last 20 years. By putting indigenous communities at the forefront of decision-making and management – under the governance of a Council of Elders - we have helped transform conservation management in northern and coastal Kenya, and more recently, in Uganda.

Today, 45 community conservancies jointly manage and protect more than 10% of all land in Kenya. Together we marry robust business planning and global skill development with local knowledge to promote peaceful social and environmental co-existence across the landscape.

Long term climate and economic resiliency is not something that can be achieved without a strong global network. It also won’t be achieved overnight, but NRT and the people who live and work across the conservancies are not going anywhere. We hope you will join our effort.

There are many ways to help and to connect.

As a recurrent donor, you play a vital role in ensuring that we promptly respond to emergencies, contribute to our long-term sustainability and achieve our mission.

All NRT recurrent donors will receive regular updates on our activities and progress.
