How you can help

NRT has evolved as a unique model of conservation management in northern and coastal Kenya, and now in Uganda. It has disrupted the entrenched status quo and outdated assumptions: replacing colonial ideals of pristine, human-free landscapes with indigenous-led, inclusive and sustainable management of nature. Today, 45 community conservancies jointly manage and protect more than 10% of all land mass in Kenya. The success of this conservation model hinges on its unique structure, bringing communities together to create a formal partnership under NRT's highest governing body, the Council of Elders.

We are deeply committed to indigenous-led conservation, married with the best business planning and global skill development to achieve optimized social, environmental and financial sustainability for local communities.

To keep growing our impact, we need your support.
